Swansea´s big problem to find the net can cost them dearly at the end of the season, and I predict they will lose a lot of points at home ´til the end of the season. 33 years old substitute Lee Trundle (1/10-5)is their top-scorer together with midfielder Darren Pratley (17/1-5), both with 5 goals. They brought 33 years old Shefki Kuqi back to England 2 weeks ago from 2nd Bundesliga club Koblenz, where he scored 9 goals in 26 games. Last season he scored 10 goals in 20 starts + 15 subs for Crystal Palace. He made his debut from the bench in 0-0 draw at home against Coventry last week and is likely to be in the starting line-up in this match. I doubt he will make any imeadiate impact on Swansea.
Preston have improved a little under new manager Ferguson, even though they took a big hit Tuesday against Barnsley 1-4. Preston were boo-ed off the field by their fans in half-time and after the match against Barnsley and I expect them to go back to basics in this match and play solid defence which they have had success with, with few exceptions. Only 3 times have they allowed more than 1 goal in last 11 league-matches. On-loan striker Welbeck has given Preston some fire-power with 2 goals in 3 matches plus it kicked Preston top-scorer Neil Mellor into gear, he is finally started to score goals again after a drought for about 10 matches. They should be able to keep Swansea busy in the back, which decreases Swansea´s chances of scoring a little.
