Murray leads 2-1 and that is something to be considered. Murray is a very tactical player and once he found a key to beat a player he is very dangerous when facing that opponent.
Federer not comfortable when players once beat him they tend to have some kind of edge against him (must say it was impressive to see how he turned the negative records against Hewitt and Nalbandian around)

Murray never been in a Grand Slam final and Federer record in Grand Slam speaks for itself. Federer been here before and knows excactly how to approach a match like this

Federer has shown that he likes playing the retrieving style (Hewitt forexample) when you do not mix your game too much. Murray is a retriever but a clever retriever and can mix his game very well. He likes putting high balls to Federer backhand and his abilities to think around the court is very impressive. His shot selection has also improved this year. Federer will attack which will suit Murray but on the other hand Federer likes playing the style of Murray.
No advantage for any of the players
Mental strength:
Federer has shown he is very vulnerable this year. He did not step it up at RG and at the Olympics he lost a tight match. Murray is a very strong player mentally. I would think a final would not intimidate him but Federer will feel the pressure. His records will be destroyed losing this final and his year will go from a respectable year to disappointing if he goes down against Murray.

Pre semifinals Murray would have had the edge here but a great performance by Federer in the semi versus Djokovic gives no player the edge in this category. Murray was also superior in his match against Rafa.
