Singles friday:
Berdych should be lower against Rochus. Got a good record against the midget on clay and won two previous meetings. Rochus can not do anything about Tomas in a best of five match.
Also surprised to see Stepanek around 1.5..He is a big match player and Malisse has not got the confidence from his comeback so far which will be necessary in a important best of five set match. Step the significant better match player.
Andreev a banker? If he can be beaten in straight sets by Witten he can be beaten by almost any one on the atp tour. Here he plays at home and his record is after all decent in Davis Cup. He should win 3-0.
Leonardo Mayer plays Pim Pim in Sweden. Mayer is a decent player indoors and Pim Pim did not convince me in his debut tournament in Stockholm (his favorite tournament) where he was beaten in the quarterfinals by Belluci. Davis Cup is a different beast though. I like Mayer here but not 100% convinced.
Karlovic playing Lapentti indoors. Ivo in form while Lapentti not found any kind of form lately. That should equal easy Ivo win but I got a feeling Nicolas can do something here. He is the born DC player where as Karlovic has looked vulnerable on big occasions before. Lay Ivo 3-0.
Tsonga is THE banker of the day versus Becker. He is a mental beast and playing at home with a partizan crowd is something a mediocre player like Becker probably can not do anything about.
Ferrer also looks like a banker.
Monfils 1.4ish favorite. Kohly is the only chance for German success this weekend. Looking at form Monfils has been disappointing this year. Getting far but not making it all the way in some tournaments. Odds wrong here. I expect five sets.
Youzhny, Cilic and Sodering bankers but very low prices. Neither of them should lose though.
