Chester-Rochdale 2-tal

Rochdale manager Keith Hill will welcome back defender Nathan Stanton for the Friday night trip to Chester.

Stanton has sat out the last two matches due to suspension after collecting 10 bookings but is available for the trip to face Mark Wright´s side.

Fellow defender Rory McArdle is also available after recovering from a knock, while Louis Dodds is set for his first start for the club since signing on loan from Leicester.

The 20-year-old will partner Glenn Murray in attack, as Adam Le Fondre has returned to Stockport after being recalled from his loan spell.

Striker Chris Dagnall remains several weeks away from a return after breaking his metatarsal in training and captain Gary Jones is out for the season with a broken bone in his knee.

Chester boss Mark Wright has a number of injury worries to contend with.

Experienced striker Simon Yeo is still struggling with the ankle injury he picked up against Torquay a fortnight ago, while Dean Bennett has a thigh strain and is rated doubtful for the match.

Dave Artell, meanwhile, is expected to play despite suffering another head injury in the weekend defeat against Walsall.

The knock came just days after Artell suffered a gashed head against Torquay, but doctors have passed the striker fit and he is expected to lead the line.

Elsewhere, 19-year-old midfielder Alan Kearney will not feature for City after the young Irishman was recalled to Goodison Park by parent club Everton.
